Our KnowledgeLink initiative is a community-driven project that focuses on seniors helping seniors! We provide senior volunteers with comprehensive digital literacy education, including in-depth training on secure online practices, online security, privacy protection, and the use of digital tools for social engagement.

Empowered with the skills and confidence to use digital tools safely, our senior ambassadors then other seniors in their community learn how to stay safe online. This innovative seniors-helping-seniors approach reduces social isolation, inspires meaningful connections, and creates a vibrant, inclusive community for seniors to confidently embrace technology.

This project receives funding support from the Government of Ontario through the 2024-25 Seniors Community Grant.

KnowledgeNet: Empowering Seniors to Outsmart Online Scams

FREE Online Course: Will You Get Caught ‘Hook, Line, And Sinker’ In Our KnowledgeNet?

With fraud against seniors at an all-time high, KnowledgeFlow is creating a safer digital space for seniors through Project KnowledgeNet, a groundbreaking initiative designed to protect seniors against cyber fraud and online scams.

This revolutionary project demonstrates the sophistication of modern phishing scams through an interactive challenge. Using our advanced training technology and interactive learning tools, safe, simulated phishing exercises are sent to their inbox, providing a hands-on opportunity to test their phishing and fraud recognition abilities. Following each phishing simulation, participants receive an email explaining the simulation and highlighting the red flags they may have missed. This interactive method increases participants’ comprehension, improving their ability to recognize and avoid deceptive traps in both a memorable and impactful way.

“We are immensely proud to launch Project KnowledgeNet, a true testament to innovation in cybersafety education tailored specifically for seniors. This project mirrors the kind of proactive digital training initiatives usually reserved for corporate staff, but we have adapted and refined it to meet the unique needs of seniors. As the first to undertake such an initiative, KnowledgeFlow Cybersafety Foundation is paving the way for a future where digital literacy and safety are accessible to all, regardless of age.”

Claudiu Popa, Co-Founder of KnowledgeFlow

Project KnowledgeNet is backed by the Government of Canada New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP).
