“This investment by the Ontario Trillium Foundation to create the online Cybersafety Academy will bring free cybersafety training and awareness to Ontarians who may not otherwise be able to access programming because of location or cost,” said Chris Glover, MPP for Spadina–Fort York. “Given the ever-increasing rates of cyber crime, this investment will help keep youth, seniors and other vulnerable people safe online.”

“The impact of this Ontario Trillium Foundation grant is immeasurable,” said Paige Backman, Co-Founder of KnowledgeFlow Cybersafety Foundation. “This grant has allowed us to exponentially expand our reach to vulnerable communities across the province and beyond.” Claudiu Popa, Co-Founder of KnowledgeFlow added, “We believe that everyone has the right to be safe online regardless of location and economic status. The OTF grant has enabled us to pivot from in-person training to dynamic, state-of-the-art, on-line learning. The Cybersafety Academy will continue to expand in content and reach for many years to come.”
