CyberDay 2025 – Empowering Agents of Cybersafety
October 20

This National CyberDay 2025, we’re putting teachers in the command seat.
In partnership with the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC), National CyberDay 2025 is all about empowering K–12 educators across Canada with the digital skills, confidence, and resources to become cybersafety champions, in their classrooms, their schools, and beyond.
Staying safe online takes training, critical thinking, and the courage to lead others through digital danger zones. It’s not about coding or hacking. It’s about preparing teachers, students, and parents for the real-world challenges of digital life.

Why national CyberDay Matters
Whether you’re teaching in the classroom, connecting with students online, or engaging families through take-home tech, cybersafety is essential. Teachers are often the first line of defense; helping students recognize scams, protect their privacy, and build healthy digital habits.
“I don’t think [younger kids] really know the difference between misinformation, disinformation and true news … These are just things that people are saying. You don’t really know that people can have hidden agendas or misinterpret different things,”- Grade 8 Student from Hamilton, CBC News
National CyberDay 2025 gives you everything you need to:
- Strengthen your own digital confidence
- Teach cybersafety in a way that’s fun, factual, and curriculum-aligned
