Program Overview
Presented by the KnowledgeFlow Cybersafety Foundation, and in partnership with the Town of Ajax, this workshop series offers a safe, friendly, and practical space to learn essential online safety skills. Each session is interactive, with real-time practice on your own phone, tablet, or laptop, or you can borrow a device if needed. This six-part, hands-on cybersafety series is designed to help you recognize, avoid, and recover from digital threats while confidently using the internet, email, apps, banking, and more.
Session 3 Breakdown
In this session, you will learn how to recognize unsafe emails and messages, spot phishing attempts, and understand how scammers try to appear legitimate. You will also explore practical steps to protect your information; like checking senders, previewing links, and managing privacy and security settings. By the end, you will be more confident and secure in your everyday email and messaging habits.
