Safeguarding CDCD’s Digital Assets and Information
October 14 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Free
As CDCD staff, you play a vital role in protecting the organization’s digital assets and information, systems, and the personal data entrusted to us by our clients and partners.
This interactive cybersecurity training, led by the KnowledgeFlow Cybersafety Foundation, is designed specifically for nonprofit professionals. It draws on expert content from their WorkLife Learning Course—developed to help staff in community-based organizations build safer digital practices without tech jargon or overwhelm.
Protecting digital information is about protecting the people we serve. Trust starts with security.
What You’ll Learn To Protect Digital Assets & information
During this 90-minute session, you’ll gain practical, actionable knowledge that will help you:
- Recognize common cyber threats targeting nonprofit teams
- Understand how your digital actions impact organizational safety
- Improve personal and workplace cybersecurity habits
- Safeguard client information and internal systems
- Know how to respond if something goes wrong
We’ll cover real-world examples, bust common cybersecurity myths, and demonstrate how even small changes—like stronger passwords or secure communications—can make a big difference in keeping CDCD digital assets and information safe.
The Importance of Keeping Sensitive Conversations Private
Whether you’re supporting clients remotely, running programs online, or doing intake calls, it is important to utilize clear strategies to help you protect client privacy and handle sensitive conversations securely.
To follow our guide to keeping virtual visits private, checkout our Toolkit for Staff & NPOs.
