Make Sure Your Child Knows Where to Get Help

Not every situation feels easy for a child to talk about — especially online. Kids may stay silent because they feel embarrassed, pressured, afraid of losing device privileges, or worried about getting in trouble. Whether it’s harassment, image pressure, threats, or manipulation, they need to know that help is available and safe to access.

This week, take 5 minutes to:

  • Review trusted support resources together (like Kids Help Phone or NeedHelpNow.ca).
  • Save at least one support number in your child’s phone.
  • Help your child identify three safe adults they could go to if needed.
