This one-hour session is a practical workshop designed to help you recognize, avoid, and respond to today’s most common and costly scams. Rather than focusing on fear or technical jargon, we will explain how scams actually work, why they are effective, and what you can do immediately to protect yourself and loved ones.

Participants will learn:

• Why scams target seniors and why anyone can be affected
• How scams are delivered through phone calls, emails, text messages, fake websites, ads, and QR codes
• The most common red flags used by scammers, including urgency, impersonation, payment requests, and requests for personal information
• How to spot deceptive tactics such as caller ID spoofing, fake email senders, look-alike websites, malicious links, attachments, pop-ups, and remote access scams
• What to do in high-risk situations such as bank impersonation calls and the Grandparent Scam

You will leave the session better equipped to recognize scams across multiple channels with practical strategies you can use immediately to reduce the risk of financial loss, identity theft, and ongoing victimization.
