ICTC’s National CyberDay
Cybersecurity Awareness Month is an international campaign held each October to help the public learn more about the importance of cybersecurity.
ICTC’s National CyberDay brings cybersecurity awareness resources, classroom curriculum ideas, career and education planning sources, fun activities, videos and much more to students, teachers and parents across Canada.
Cybersafety is a team sport
It takes many people across multiple industries to help protect Canadians of all ages. Your cybersafety team includes educators, cybersecurity industry experts, government legislators, researchers, law enforcement officers, lawyers, privacy activists and many others. See how their efforts combine to protect you and your family.
Our Cyber Resources include at-home family activities, classroom curriculum suggestions and activities for K-8 students, more challenging activities and in-depth curriculum for grades 9-12, career and education planning for adults and older students. Check out these videos, podcasts, documents and games!
Our CyberSprints video series lets you interact with and learn from the experts. Submit a question by September 30 and then watch the videos to get your answer. Our experts include teachers, privacy and security industry experts, IT lawyers, government officials and more.
Participate as a family team, as an individual or as a classroom. Complete the National CyberDay Challenges to develop and demonstrate your cyber skills. Challenge your family, friends and other classrooms to battle for cybersecurity supremacy. Add your points to support your province /territory in the Canada-wide CyberDay Challenges.
Once you complete your CyberDay Challenges, submit your scorecard to have your score tallied. Check back here to see how your team fared overall in the cybersecurity competition. See which province had the most points. Check out which teams were most creative. Win prizes for your classroom or family. Have fun and learn some mad new skills.
Register before October 18 to be included in National CyberDay updates and activities and to receive additional in-class and at-home materials.
