DESCRIPTION:What is Data Privacy Week?\n\n\n\nData Privacy Week (DPW) is a globally acknowledged initiative dedicated to increasing awareness about the importance of privacy and safeguarding personal information. \n\n\n\nData Privacy Day was first established in Canada and the United States in 2008 as an extension of Europe’s Data Protection Day\, which commemorates the signing of Convention 108 on January 28\, 1981—the first legally binding international treaty on privacy and data protection. \n\n\n\nWhy is it Important?\n\n\n\nNow a week-long\, globally acknowledged initiative\, Data Privacy Week (DPW) is dedicated to increasing awareness about the importance of privacy and safeguarding personal information.
