This free event is open to all older adults\, caregivers\, and community members who want to learn more about living well after 55. \nIn partnership with the Older Adult Centres’ Association of Ontario (OACAO) and funded by the Government of Ontario\, the fair highlights a variety of local programs\, health services\, and wellness resources. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet local vendors\, participate in health and wellness seminars\, and gain valuable insights into mental health\, digital safety\, and scam prevention—all designed with older adults in mind. \nThis Free Event Features:\n\nLocal vendors and community organizations\nHealth\, wellness\, and mental health seminars\nDigital safety & senior scam awareness\nFree snacks and drinks\nCommunity engagement and social connection opportunities\n\nThe 55+ Senior’s Active Living Fairs are designed to raise awareness about the wide range of programs\, services\, and supports available to seniors across Ontario\, empowering older adults to live more connected\, informed\, and independent lives. \n\nLearn About Digital Safety and Scam Prevention for Seniors\nWith seniors increasingly targeted by phone\, email\, and online scams\, we will provide resources on digital safety\, including: \n\nSpotting and avoiding fraud\, phishing\, and phone scams\nHow to protect your personal information online\nUsing strong passwords and secure internet habits\nWho to contact if you suspect a scam or identity theft\nCommon scams that senior’s may run into\, and actions to take\n\nKnowledge is your best defense.
